Rocket Languages German

Having been an instructor of German language for many years now, I have come across several German tutorials. These are both in video and audio formats and even in text formats. Yet, I have personally not found a course as good as Rocket German till date.

Many of the modern books that claim to effectively teach German lack contemporary language and real world examples. Therefore, while the appearance of these books may seem nice, they do not contain language applicable today. Many of these books contain archaic language, which is not even used today in Germany! In this sense, Rocket German stands apart. Its examples and the language used is very contemporary and you can instantly start using these sentences.

Many of the other German teaching books are guilty of teaching the language in a boring manner. This is another advantage of the Rocket German book. As I went through page after page of content, I realized that the examples and method of teaching were fun. As a teacher of German, I am always on the lookout for books, which help students learn German easily and without boredom.

I also found another fascinating feature about Rocket German. That is the usage of interactive audio files to help students pronounce the words easily. When I was a student learning German myself, I used to wish someone would tell me how to pronounce these words correctly. I am very glad that Rocket German has so many audio files teaching students the correct pronunciation of the words. In addition, the book also has many new words, contemporary to the 21st century. This, in my opinion, makes this a very usable book. It also includes common phrases used by Germans today. There are no archaic terms or phrases, found in so many other books these days! I have always believed language tutorial books need to change with the times and in my opinion Rocket German does that very well.

Another thing that pleasantly surprised me were the interactive games in Rocket German. These games would help any student learn German words, sentences and phrases in such a fun manner! Even though I have been teaching German for so many years, I found these games to be so fun and addictive that I wished I was a student again!

The audio courses in Rocket German are spoken by native German speakers. Personally, I find this to be a huge advantage because pronunciation is crucial when learning German. I have seen so many of these courses where the words are pronounced by amateurs. This way, students end up learning wrong pronunciation. In Rocket German, all pronunciations are exactly as a native German would speak them.

While the initial costs of Rocket German may seem a bit high it is cheap considering the bulk of study materials you get. If you look at it from such a perspective, it is a steal.
