David: Hallo Kerstin. Ich wollte gerade auf den Markt einkaufen gehen. Kann ich Dir etwas mitbringen?
Kerstin: Wirklich? Ich wollte auch gerade auf den Markt. Kann ich mitkommen?
David: Ja, gerne. Was willst Du denn kaufen?
Kerstin: Ich will ein paar neue Pullover kaufen. Einen roten und einen blauen. Und einen neuen Regeschirm. Ich mag den grünen.
David: Also, einen roten Pulli, einen blauen Pulli, und einen grünen Regenschirm. Sonst noch was?
Kerstin: Ja, Ich will auch noch etwas zum Essen einkaufen.
David: Ok, dann gehen wir zum Bäcker.
Kerstin: Ich hätte gerne vier Brötchen, und 200 (zweihundert) Gramm Salami.
David: Ist das alles?
Kerstin: Ja, das ist alles.
David: Ok, dann können wir ja wieder nach Hause gehen.
Kerstin: Aber David, wolltest Du denn nichts kaufen?
David: Hello Kerstin. I was just going to the market to go shopping. Can I get anything for you?
Kerstin: Really? I was also thinking of going. Can I come along?
David: Yes, of course. What do you want to buy?
Kerstin: I want to buy a few new sweaters. One red one and one blue one. And a new umbrella. I like the green one.
David: Ok, one red sweater, one blue sweater, and a green umbrella. Anything else?
Kerstin: Yes, I wanted to get something to eat.
David: Ok, then let’s go to the bakery.
Kerstin: I would like to have four rolls, and two hundred gram of peperoni.
David: Is that all?
Kerstin: Yes, that is all?
David: Ok, then we can head home.
Kerstin: But David, didn’t you want to buy anything.
Grammar
Adjectives go between the pronouns and the nouns in German, just as they do in English. So if you want to say: “The beautiful cat” you would say: “Die schöne Katze.” If you want to use more than one adjective, you can separate them using a comma. The same rule applies for adverbs.

Best Overall German Course: Rocket Languages German
Having been an instructor of German language for many years now, I have come across several German tutorials. These are both in video and audio formats and even in text formats. Yet, I have personally not found a course as good as Rocket German till date.
Many of the modern books that claim to effectively teach German lack contemporary language and real world examples.
